My foremost goal is to do interesting work with smart people. My usual approach to design is that less is more. Clean design with carefully controlled whitespace, navigation, restrained use of color and pictures have always worked best for me. However, client is always king (whether internal or external) and I will always follow his/her direction.
I always write clean and validated code with SEO and basic web branding in mind. My code is commented with tableless layouts and written in the most efficient way so that others can easily read it.
I am generally exploding with creativity, constantly busy reading, painting, or finishing some personal at project. I regularly attend seminars and frequent particular websites to keep current and further develop my expertise. My favorite websites are currently:
Smashing Magazine (for good tips)
Photoshop Disasters (for laughs)
Ted Conferences (for inspiration)
Web Designer Wall (for inspiration)
Interests: reading fiction, Italian cooking, wine, painting, keeping plants alive, restoring antique furniture, skiing, and hiking.
Please see the work page for what I have done with these skills.
Because I am the solution to your problem. I am CREATIVE, SMART, MOTIVATED, KNOWLEDGEABLE, EXPERIENCED, and INTERESTED. I will fit into your group: follow your practices and procedures, get along with the team, and help you improve your business.
I know how to design, develop, and market websites and I keep up-to-date with trends. If you need something cutting-edge, chances are I’ve done it before. If I haven’t, I will learn quickly and accurately.
I know the web. Pick my brain.
